4) Cookies

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted again at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). If cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information such as browser and location data and IP address values to an individual extent. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie.

In some cases, cookies are used to simplify the ordering process by saving settings (e.g. remembering the contents of a virtual shopping cart for a later visit to the website).

We may work together with advertising partners who help us to make our website more interesting for you. For this purpose, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard disk when you visit our website (third-party cookies). If we work together with the aforementioned advertising partners, you will be informed individually and separately about the use of such cookies and the scope of the information collected in each case in the following paragraphs.

Please note that you can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. 5) Making contact

Personal data is collected when you contact us (e.g. via contact form or email). Which data is collected in the case of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request or for contacting you and the associated technical administration. Your data will be deleted once your request has been processed. This is the case when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

6) Data processing when opening a customer account and for contract processing

Personal data is collected and processed if you provide it to us for the execution of a contract or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. You can delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to our address. We store and use the data you provide to process the contract. After deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked with regard to retention periods under tax and commercial law and deleted after expiry of these periods, unless we can prove an overriding interest in further processing within the meaning of Art. 31 para. 2 FADP or justification by law.

7) Use of single sign-on procedures

Facebook Connect

On our website, you can log in to create a customer account or register using the social plugin "Facebook Connect" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quay, Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), as part of the so-called single sign-on technology, if you have a Facebook profile. You can recognize the social plugins of "Facebook Connect" on our website by the blue button with the Facebook logo and the inscription "Log in with Facebook" or "Connect with Facebook" or "Log in with Facebook" or "Sign in with Facebook".

When you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in to Facebook.

This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server and stored there; it may also be transmitted to the servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

By using this "Facebook Connect" button on our website, you also have the option of logging in or registering on our website using your Facebook user data. Only if you give your express consent before the registration process on the basis of a corresponding notice about the exchange of data with Facebook, we will receive the general and publicly accessible information stored in your profile when using the "Facebook Connect" button from Facebook, depending on your personal data protection settings on Facebook. This information includes the user ID, name, profile picture, age and gender.

Please note that following changes to Facebook's privacy policy and terms of use, your profile pictures, the user IDs of your friends and your friends list may also be transferred if they have been marked as "public" in your privacy settings on Facebook. The data transmitted by Facebook will be stored and processed by us to create a user account with the necessary data, if this has been approved by you on Facebook (title, first name, surname, address data, country, email address, date of birth). Conversely, based on your consent, data (e.g. information about your surfing or purchasing behavior) may be transferred from us to your Facebook profile.

You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the controller named at the beginning of this statement.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook's data protection information: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the Facebook plugins from loading with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with "Adblock Plus" (https://adblockplus.org/de/).

For the transfer of data to the USA, the provider refers to standard contractual clauses of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), which are intended to ensure compliance with the Swiss level of data protection.

8) Use of your data for direct advertising

8.1 Subscription to our e-mail newsletter

By providing your personal data, you agree that we may use this data to send you newsletters.

We store your IP address entered by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later date. The data collected by us when you register for the newsletter will be used exclusively for the purpose of advertising by means of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending us a corresponding message. Once you have unsubscribed, your e-mail address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list immediately, unless we can demonstrate an overriding interest in further processing within the meaning of Art. 31 para. 2 FADP or justification by law.

8.2 Klaviyo

Our e-mail newsletters are sent via this provider: Klaviyo, 225 Franklin St, Boston, MA 02110, USA

On the basis of our legitimate interest in effective and user-friendly newsletter marketing, we pass on the data you provide when registering for the newsletter to this provider in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR so that they can send the newsletter on our behalf.

Subject to your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, the provider also carries out a statistical evaluation of the success of newsletter campaigns using web beacons or tracking pixels in the emails sent, which can measure opening rates and specific interactions with the content of the newsletter. End device information (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system) is also collected and analyzed, but not merged with other data sets.

You can revoke your consent to newsletter tracking at any time with effect for the future.

We have concluded an order processing contract with the provider, which protects the data of our website visitors and prohibits it from being passed on to third parties.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has signed up to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

8.3 Advertising by letter post

On the basis of our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and - if we have received this additional information from you as part of the contractual relationship - your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business name and to use them to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post.

You can object to the storage and use of your data for this purpose at any time by sending us a corresponding message.

9) Data processing for order processing

9.1 The personal data collected by us will be passed on to the transport company commissioned with the delivery as part of the contract processing, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. We pass on your payment data to the commissioned credit institution within the scope of payment processing, insofar as this is necessary for payment processing. If special service providers are used for order processing, we will provide explicit information about this below.

9.2 Transfer of personal data to shipping service providers

- Post CH
If the goods are delivered by the transport service provider Post CH (Schweizerische PostAG, Switzerland, Wankdorfallee 4, 3030 Bern), we will pass on your e-mail address to Post CH before delivery of the goods for the purpose of coordinating a delivery date or for delivery notification, provided that you have given your express consent to this during the ordering process - otherwise we will only pass on the name of the recipient and the delivery address to Post CH for the purpose of delivery. The information will only be passed on if this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. In this case, it is not possible to coordinate the delivery date with Post CH in advance or to transmit shipment delivery status information.
Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future from the controller named above or from the transport service provider Post CH.

9.3 Use of payment service providers (payment services)

- Apple Pay
If you opt for the "Apple Pay" payment method from Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, payment will be processed via the "Apple Pay" function of your device operated with iOS, watchOS or macOS by debiting a payment card deposited with "Apple Pay". Apple Pay uses security functions that are integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. To authorize a payment, you must therefore enter a code that you have previously specified and verify it using the "Face ID" or "Touch ID" function on your device.
For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, will be forwarded to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before the data is transmitted to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay to process the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment has been made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the source website to confirm the success of the payment.
If personal data is processed during the described transfers, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing.
Apple retains anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was successfully completed. Anonymization completely excludes any personal reference. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve "Apple Pay" and other Apple products and services.
If you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase that you have made via Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate via an encrypted channel on the Apple servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can be used to identify you. You can disable the ability to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay" and deactivate "Allow payments on Mac".
You can find further information on data protection with Apple Pay at the following Internet address:  https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027
- Google Pay

If you choose the "Google Pay" payment method from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), payment will be processed via the "Google Pay" application on your mobile device running at least Android 4.4 ("KitKat") and equipped with an NFC function by charging a payment card stored with Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g. PayPal). To approve a payment via Google Pay of more than €25, your mobile device must first be unlocked using the verification measure set up in each case (e.g. facial recognition, password, fingerprint or pattern).

For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, will be passed on to Google. Google then transmits your payment information stored in Google Pay to the source website in the form of a unique transaction number, which is used to verify that a payment has been made. This transaction number does not contain any information about the real payment data of your means of payment stored with Google Pay, but is created and transmitted as a unique numerical token. For all transactions via Google Pay, Google only acts as an intermediary for processing the payment process. The transaction is carried out exclusively in the relationship between the user and the source website by debiting the payment method stored with Google Pay.

If personal data is processed during the described transfers, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Google reserves the right to collect, store and evaluate certain transaction-specific information for each transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the date, time and amount of the transaction, merchant location and description, a description of the goods or services purchased provided by the merchant, photos that you have attached to the transaction, the name and email address of the seller and buyer or the sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description of the reason for the transaction and, if applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.

According to Google, this processing is carried out exclusively in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interest in proper accounting, the verification of transaction data and the optimization and functional maintenance of the Google Pay service.

Google also reserves the right to merge the processed transaction data with other information that is collected and stored by Google when using other Google services.

The Google Pay terms of use can be found here:

- PayPal
When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or - if offered - "purchase on account" or "installment payment" via PayPal, we pass on your payment data to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter "PayPal"), as part of the payment processing. The data will only be passed on to the extent that this is necessary for payment processing.
PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check for the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or - if offered - "purchase on account" or "installment payment" via PayPal. For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies on the basis of PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your solvency. PayPal uses the result of the credit check with regard to the statistical probability of non-payment for the purpose of deciding on the provision of the respective payment method. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). If score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. The calculation of the score values includes, but is not limited to, address data. Further data protection information, including information on the credit agencies used, can be found in PayPal's privacy policy: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to PayPal. However, PayPal may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary to process payments in accordance with the contract.
- Shopify Payments

One or more online payment methods from the following provider are available on this website: Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland

If you select a payment method of the provider for which you make an advance payment (such as credit card payment), the payment data you provide during the ordering process (including name, address, bank and payment card information, currency and transaction number) as well as information about the content of your order will be passed on to the provider in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. In this case, your data will only be passed on for the purpose of payment processing with the provider and only to the extent that it is necessary for this purpose.
- TWINT
If you choose a payment method from the payment service provider "TWINT", payment will be processed via the payment service provider TWINT AG (Stauffacherstrasse 31, CH-8004 Zurich, hereinafter "TWINT"), to whom we will pass on the information you provided during the ordering process together with information about your order (name, address, account number, bank code, credit card number if applicable, invoice amount, currency and transaction number). Your data will only be passed on for the purpose of payment processing with the payment service provider TWINT and only to the extent that it is necessary for this purpose.

9.4 Performance of credit checks

- Intrum AG

If we make advance payments (e.g. delivery on account), we reserve the right to carry out a credit check on the basis of mathematical-statistical procedures in order to safeguard our legitimate interest in determining the solvency of our customers. We transmit the personal data required for a credit check to the following service provider:

Intrum AG
Eschenstrasse 12
CH-8603 Schwerzenbach

The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). If score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. The calculation of the score values includes, but is not limited to, address data. We use the result of the credit check in relation to the statistical probability of non-payment for the purpose of deciding on the establishment, execution or termination of a contractual relationship.

You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to us or to the aforementioned credit agency. However, we may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary to process payments in accordance with the contract.

10) Use of social media: social plugins

10.1 Facebook plugins

Our website uses social plugins ("plugins") from the social network Facebook, which is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quay, Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition "Social plugin from Facebook" or "Facebook Social Plugin". An overview of the Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Meta Platforms Inc. server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly associate your visit to our website with your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" button or leaving a comment, this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends.

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also prevent the loading of Facebook plugins and thus the data processing operations described above with add-ons for your browser for the future, e.g. with the script blocker "NoScript" (http://noscript.net/).

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook's data protection information:
http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

For the transfer of data to the USA, the provider refers to standard contractual clauses of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), which are intended to ensure compliance with the Swiss level of data protection.
